A fire that erupted Wednesday in a double-wide mobile home and adjacent garage in Aguanga destroyed both before firefighters gained the upper hand.
The blaze was reported at 12:15 p.m. on Evening Star Trail just east of Tule Valley Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said that multiple engine crews were sent to the location and found the double-wide 75% covered in flames, while the nearby garage was completely engulfed.
Northerly winds were blowing at roughly 15 mph in the area, but firefighters prevented the flames from jumping into surrounding vegetation, according to reports from the scene.
No injuries were reported.
By 1 p.m., crews were making steady progress toward 100% containment of the fire.
It was unclear whether the property had been occupied, and there was no immediate word on what might have triggered the blaze.
