Firefighters respond to Santa Ana structure fire behind lumber yard – Orange County Register

Fire crews responded to a second alarm fire at the 2700 block of South Main Street on Thursday afternoon in Santa Ana, officials said.

When firefighters arrived around 6:30 p.m., there was a “well-involved” fire of a back building of a lumber yard which contained various building materials, Captain Paul Holladay from the OC Fire Authority said.

The fire was elevated to a second alarm which called about 45 firefighters to the scene. Costa Mesa Fire Department and Santa Ana Police Department were also on scene assisting.

After an hour of working on the fire, the structure became unsafe and firefighters pulled out of inside of the building, Holladay said.

There were no injuries reported at 7:45 p.m. The damage done to the building and the cause of the fire were not immediately available.
