The 2024 Republican National Convention promises to be even more passionate and heartfelt than before, coming days after an assassination attempt on the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, former President Donald Trump.
Trump was left wounded after a sniper opened fire. One spectator was killed and two others critically injured. Trump has said he will still appear at the convention.
“I truly love our country, and love you all, and look forward to speaking to our great nation this week from Wisconsin,” Trump posted on Truth Social Saturday after the shooting.
Convention planners and Trump’s website released a list of headliners and keynote speakers Saturday of GOP leaders, conservative commentators, Trump family members, potential running mates, and celebrities, all of whom have been public and eager Trump supporters. And Florida is well represented.

Times for the speakers have not yet been released.
Trump’s other major opponent in the primary, former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley, was not originally slated to speak or even planned to attend, but after the assassination attempt, a person familiar with convention planning confirmed she was now on the speaker list. She does not appear on the list at donaldjtrump.com.
