In a burst of gun violence late Monday, five people were wounded in the Bronx and Brooklyn, cops said.
The bloodshed began when gunfire erupted on Nostrand Ave. near Rutland Ave. in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, wounding two male teenagers — one 16, the other 18 — and a 26-year-old man, cops said.
Responding officers found the 18-year-old and the 26-year-old were both struck in the abdomen. The youngest victim was hit in the shoulder and back, police said.
Medics rushed the 18-year-old to SUNY Downstate Medical Center where he was in stable condition. The other victims were rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, also in stable condition, cops said.
No arrests have been made.
The mayhem continued hours later in the Bronx, where two women — 28 and 29 years old — were wounded in a drive-by shooting at 7:30 p.m. on E. 165th St. near Third Ave. in Morrisania, cops and police sources said.
Cops found the older victim with a gunshot wound to her left thigh. The younger woman was struck once in the right leg, and once in the right arm, police said.
Medics rushed the pair to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln; both were in stable condition.
Two people were taken into custody at the scene, but no charges were immediately filed.
Investigators believe the victims in both shootings were targeted, police sources said.
