North TX remodeling contractor arrested in connection to $260,000 fraud case

A North Texas contractor was arrested Friday after allegedly defrauding customers, accumulating around $260,000, the Parker County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Authorities began investigating a remodeling company — Infinity Outdoors Solutions, LLC — and its owner, Andrew Paul Ross, in April after receiving reports of fraud regarding the business.

Customers told the sheriff’s office that Ross would enter into contracts, take large payments, then discontinue all contact without completing jobs or returning their money.

In one instance, Ross entered into a contract with a customer in October 2023. After completing part of the contracted work, Ross made a second withdrawal from the customer’s account for $33,000, according to the release. He then ceased all contact with the customer, the sheriff’s office said.

All payments from the customer’s account were found to have been deposited into Ross’ business account, where he transferred funds for his personal use, according to the sheriff’s office.

Another person reported Ross taking $25,000 before cutting off communication. A third customer had $29,380 withdrawn from their account without Ross completing the project. A fourth person was allegedly scammed out of $56,534 after Ross did the same thing, the sheriff’s office said.

Ross collected more than $259,000 from defrauding nine customers, the sheriff’s office determined. The money was collected without completing the terms of contracted work, without returning funds, and without any communication with the customers.

Ross has also been reported by customers out of Granbury, North Richland Hills, Dennison, Denton, and other areas of Tarrant County, the sheriff’s office said.

Investigators obtained 10 felony warrants for Ross on charges of theft of property and misappropriation of trust fund with intent to defraud, according to the release.

He was booked into the Parker County Jail on Friday.

The sheriff’s office encourages people who think they might have been scammed to contact local authorities and report incidents.
