Today’s Forecast:
Parts of Siouxland are under a severe thunderstorm watch until 10 a.m. as a line of storms moves through the area. For the most part, the severe weather chance has decreased. This might expire before 10 a.m.
These thunderstorms are causing some flooding. We have a Flash Flood Warning in effect for a few of our counties until 11 a.m.

The thunderstorms and rain will continue this morning, with them stopping a little after midday. Then this afternoon we will see the clouds begin to decrease and some sunshine will return.
Winds will also be breezy between 15 and 25 miles per hour, with gusts near 35 miles per hour.
Highs will climb into the mid- to low-80s today.

Tonight’s Forecast:
Things will be quiet tonight. Lows will fall in the 70s, which is above average for this time of year.
Winds will remain breezy out of the southeast at 15 to 25 miles per hour, with gusts near 35 miles per hour.
Skies will be partly cloudy for much of the night.

Tomorrow’s Forecast:
Tuesday will start off sunny, with winds gusting out of the south between 20 and 30 miles per hour and gusts near 40 miles per hour. Highs will climb into the mid-80s.
Then, as we head into the afternoon hours, we will see another front move through that will spark more thunderstorms to develop.
This line of storms could turn severe so the Storm Prediction Center has put much of Siouxland under a Marginal to Slight Risk of seeing some severe thunderstorms.
The main risks from these storms will be large hail, gusty winds, and a few tornadoes, but the risk of tornadoes is low.

Extended Forecast:
Rain chances will be staying with us the rest of the work week. By the end of the work week, some places in Siouxland could very easily get over 3 to 4 inches of rain.

Your 10-day forecast shows that Wednesday will be a cool one, with showers looking likely. Highs on Wednesday will be in the 60s to low 70s.
Then this upcoming weekend, we are forecasting to see another round of severe weather. Next week doesn’t look to be as active when it comes to rain and storms.
