East Texas (KLTV/KTRE) – Here is a look at the weather where you live: Here is a look at the weather where you live: Today is a First Alert Weather Day. It was a muggy and stormy afternoon and evening for parts of East Texas yesterday, and more rain and storms will be possible later today so be sure to keep the umbrella and the First Alert Weather App close. This morning we’re waking up to lower to middle 70s with mostly cloudy skies and some patchy fog. A few showers/thundershowers will be possible this morning, with some scattered showers and strong thunderstorms possible this afternoon and into the evening hours. This round of rain is not guaranteed for all, but any storms that can get better developed will likely carry a severe wind and hail threat. The tornado threat is fairly low for today as well, but it is not at zero, so please be sure to keep an eye on the weather today just to be safe.  The majority of Friday is looking to trend pretty dry, but some storms and rain could try to redevelop Friday evening into Friday night. Saturday will be quite warm and muggy with highs in the lower 90s and a low-end chance for pop-up thunderstorms. Sunday still looks hot and dry. A few showers and an isolated thunderstorm or two will be possible Monday (Memorial Day) as a cold front is still on track to quickly move through East Texas, drying us out and cooling us off slightly for Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon.
