We Booked the World’s Best Business Class for $0- And You Can Too!

We recently took a flight in Qatar Qsuites, which is arguably one of the best business-class flights in the world! How much does it cost to fly in such an extravagant seat, you may ask? Well, a flight like this can run you around $10,000 one-way, but we’ll let you in on a little secret: we flew this flight for FREE. You heard that right, $0, because we booked this flight using miles and points.

Today, we’ll relive with you what it’s like to fly Qatar Qsuites and explain all the nerdy details on how you can book this once-in-a-lifetime flight too!

We’ve flown Business and First Class on many different Airlines, but our experience on Qatar Qsuites was one of our absolute favorites!

As we boarded our flight, we were led straight to our amazing seats and welcomed with champagne, wine, and roasted nuts. We enjoyed a candle-lit dinner with dishes such as lobster, caviar, Arabic mezze boards, and paneer curry while watching movies on our 21.5-inch TVs. Seriously, there are few things more relaxing than settling down on a plane, having dinner, and enjoying a movie with no internet connection and no one from the outside world to disturb you. Qsuites are also one of the only business class seats to have lie-flat double beds for couples, which was one of the biggest perks for us.

When flying business class, the actual flight is only one part of the experience. Included in every business class ticket is access to the airport lounge. We got to experience Qatar’s business lounge in Doha, which was absolutely massive and had everything you could ever need from water features to a full bar, multiple sit-down restaurants, and relaxation rooms to shower or take a nap before the flight.

Now that we’ve convinced you that flying Qatar Qsuites must be on your bucket list, let’s get into how you can make that dream a reality for free.

How to Find Qatar Qsuites

You can book a Qsuite seat in several ways, but finding available seats is by far the hardest part of the process. Luckily, there are some great tools out there that can make finding the seat of your dreams that much easier.

Qsuites are only available in business class on certain planes and routes. The A350-1000 business class is the only plane where all business class seats are Qsuites, but you can also find a limited number of suites on Boeing 777-200LR, 777-200ER, and A350-900. An important thing to note is that Qatar Airlines is notorious for changing the type of plane for your flight last minute, so there is no real guarantee that you’ll get a Qsuite but choosing your plane carefully at booking can help with that risk.

The first place we’d recommend looking is, a website that allows you to find the best seats for your miles and points. Here you can search for all available Qsuites on different routes and plane configurations. This tool is a fast track to finding the best availability and is the best place to start when you’re looking to book a Qsuites flight.

Now it’s time to book! Q-Suites are available on a total of 30 routes, including from a number of major U.S. hubs such as Philadelphia, Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago, and more. A flight from one of these hubs to Doha will run you around 70,000 points.

If you’re looking to spend as few points as possible, there are other routes available, like Singapore or Tokyo to Doha, that will cost you under 40,000 points. We even found a route from Mumbai to Doha that only cost 15,000 Alaska Airlines points! The key when booking with miles and points is to be flexible and plan ahead to get the best deal possible.

Qatar Qsuites can be booked directly on the Qatar website or on any of the websites. Booking with each partner website has its different pros and cons but we would recommend starting with British Airlines or American Airlines.

British Airlines is one of our favorite OneWorld Partners to book with because they clearly show the point price of the flight and they accept travel rewards from Chase, American Express and Capital One (for contrast, Qatar Airlines only accepts rewards from American Express and CitiBank ).

American Airlines has a great awards calendar that makes looking for seats that are available to book with points a breeze, just don’t forget to filter by non-stop business class flights. If you’re flexible with your travel dates, you can check the awards calendar every few days and eventually, you’ll find the perfect flight.

By now you’re probably wondering, “how do I earn enough miles and points to be able to book this flight?” Well, we’ve found that one of the fastest ways to earn points is through credit card sign-up bonuses. We know credit cards can be scary for some, but if you’re strategic about it, they are an amazing way to get access to once-in-a-lifetime experiences like this that you might not have been able to pay for otherwise. To learn more about earning points, we recommend the course over on as a great place to start!
