Accreditation smoothed my entry, but Wembley’s labyrinthine interior after the renovations from years ago presented a minor challenge. Navigating the maze of lifts, stairs, and corridors, I couldn’t help but think clearer signage might benefit future visitors.
However, upon reaching the dedicated Media Hub, a sense of calm efficiency took over. UEFA, as ever, had meticulously catered to journalists’ needs. A constant flow of food, beverages, coffee, and crucially, high-speed Wi-Fi, provided the perfect fuel for the long hours ahead.
Descending to the pitch, a thrill shot through me as I glimpsed the iconic Champions League trophy, gleaming under the stadium lights (pictured). The pristine playing surface promised a fast-paced, exhilarating match, a stage where both teams could showcase their finest football.
