MUNHALL, Pa. (KDKA) — Two men were shot in the Lowe’s parking lot at The Waterfront shopping center on Friday afternoon.
Allegheny County police said a 911 call came in for a report of a person chasing another with a gun in the parking lot of the Lowe’s shortly before 2 p.m.
When officers got there, police said they found a gun on the ground and blood, but no victims.
Shortly after, Pittsburgh police got a call about two men who walked into a hospital with gunshot wounds. Investigators said those two men were from the shooting in Munhall.
One of the men is in critical condition and the other is in stable condition.
Police are trying to figure out who was chasing the two men. They said there’s a car and a license plate they’re looking for, but they’re not releasing those details yet.
Officials were inside the store for several hours looking at videotapes, including one that showed someone apparently walking off toward the apartments on the other side of the road.
County homicide detectives are investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call the county police tipline at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
The Waterfront is home to several stores and establishments like Target, DSW, DICK’S Sporting Goods and Dave & Buster’s. The shooting happened while people were out doing last-minute holiday shopping.
