SPRINGFIELD, Va. (7News) — A man is in custody after two women were shot during a domestic-related incident at a Springfield, Va. daycare Wednesday, according to Fairfax County Police officials.
Police said at around 2:14 p.m. that they were called to the West Springfield KinderCare on the 8500 block of Bauer Drive and found two daycare employees injured.
All children reportedly made it out of the daycare safely and were released to their parents or guardians, officials said.
“It doesn’t appear that any of the kids have any indication that anything even happened here today,” said an FCPD official said at a news conference. “They were jovial they were taken outside doors, they didn’t appear to even see the broken front door.”
