Baylor vs. TCU Predictions, picks, odds and TV info

The No. 14 Baylor Bears have dropped two straight contests heading into their Monday night matchup against the TCU Horned Frogs. Meanwhile, TCU has won three of its last four and has the luxury of playing at home. Even worse for Bears’ fans, the Horned Frogs know they can beat Baylor. In fact, they’ve done it once already this year, having taken down the Bears 105-102 in OT back on Jan. 27.

In Baylor’s defense, each of their losses have come against very talented teams. They only lost by six to No. 1 Houston, and put up a good fight against a BYU team on the edge of being ranked in the Coaches Poll. With just four games left on their schedule, a Big 12 title is pretty much out of the question for both of these teams. However, there is still a lot to play for in regards to the March Madness tournament. Three straight losses for Baylor with two matchups against ranked opponents still left to play, would not bode well for their hopes at a high seed in the tournament. Tonight’s game is vital.

Baylor at TCU predictions:

CBS Sports: OVER 148.5

The CBS Sports staff writes that their model is leaning the over in this game. Why? Well considering TCU guard Jameer Nelson Jr. scored 30 points when these teams last met, there’s good reason to believe scoring will be a premium once again. TCU has won 13 of its last 15 home games, and Baylor will be pulling all of its stops out in order to get back on track after two straight losses. Expect a lot of offense in this one.

FanDuel: TCU moneyline

FanDuel points out that Baylor is just 2-3 ATS as an underdog this season, but TCU is a solid 12-8 ATS when playing as a 2.5-point favorite or more. TCU has proven capable of beating Baylor before, and with how the Horned Frogs have been playing as of late, expecting TCU to drop this one at home is a fool’s errand.

FOX Sports: TCU 77, Baylor 76

FOX Sports writes, “The Horned Frogs have a 57.4% chance to claim victory in this game per the moneyline’s implied probability.”
