Following the reports of a shooting at Cesar Chavez High School in Ceres, a large police presence was spotted in the area on Monday. This comes as a lockdown has been ordered by the school administration amid an active investigation being carried out by the authorities. Local media reports suggest the situation is developing near Cesar Chavez Junior High along Eastgate Boulevard. However, several people took to social media to claim that they heard gunshots. Such reports cannot be verified at the moment as it is not clear what exactly happened at or near Cesar Chavez High.
