Chiefs Roster: Deon Bush, Mike Pennel, Deneric Prince up vs. Patriots

On Saturday, the Kansas City Chiefs announced several roster moves via their official X account. The Chiefs travel to take on the New England Patriots on Sunday at Noon.

Wide receiver Justyn Ross, who currently has a roster exemption as he returns from his six-game suspension and stint on the Commissioner’s Exempt List, will not suit up for the game. The Chiefs added safety Deon Bush to their 53-man roster, waiving linebacker Darius Harris.

Practice squad nose tackle Mike Pennel and running back Deneric Prince have been elevated for the matchup. Pennel played a significant role down the stretch as part of the Chiefs’ 2019 championship team. Should Pennel be active, this would mark his first game action of 2023. He last participated in a game for the Chicago Bears in January.

With starting running back Isiah Pacheco missing his second straight game, Prince rounds out the running back room led by Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jerick McKinnon. As elevated players, Pennel and Prince will automatically be returned to Kansas City’s practice squad on Monday.
