For the second consecutive season the Philadelphia Eagles have a 1,000-yard rusher…it’s just a different running back this time. D’Andre Swift is now over 1,000 yards rushing for the first time in his career after breaking the barrier in the first quarter against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday afternoon.
D’Andre Swift has reached 1,000+ rushing yards for the first time in his #NFL career.
The #Eagles have produced 1,000+ yard rushers in back-to-back seasons (also Miles Sanders in 2022) for the first time since 2013-14 (LeSean McCoy).#FlyEaglesFly

Per the Eagles, this is the first time the Birds have had back-to-back thousand yard rushers since 2013-2014 when LeSean McCoy did it in consecutive seasons.
A native of Philadelphia, Swift signed with the Eagles this off-season and has been the leading rusher for the team all season. As of this minute, Swift has rushed for 1,004 yards on 221 carries (4.54 yards per carry) and scored five touchdowns on the ground. The former Detroit Lions running back had a previous career-high of 617 yards and has set new personal records for both carries and yards this season.
Having also caught 38 passes out of the backfield (for 209 yards), Swift has proven to be a valuable weapon for Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Birds currently lead the Cardinals 14-3, halfway through the second quarter.
