Do you own products that were recalled this week? Our list includes Planters nuts, Igloo water bottles and Skims pajamas

You do a lot to keep your family safe, from switching to natural deodorants and researching the best reef-safe sunscreens to investing in the best reusable water bottles. Well, here’s one simple thing you might not be doing, but should: keeping an eye out for recalled products. This week, major recalls include Hy-Vee cream cheese, Planters nuts and Skims pajamas for kids. If you have any of these items in your home, you should act ASAP.

Recalled: Planters Peanuts and Mixed Nuts ⛔

Planters is voluntarily recalling 4-ounce containers of Honey Roasted Peanuts and 8.75-ounce containers of Deluxe Lightly Salted Mixed Nuts “out of an abundance of caution.” The risk: potential listeria contamination. No illnesses have been reported.

• Where were they sold? Publix grocery stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and North Carolina; Dollar Tree stores in Georgia and South Carolina

• What to do: Customers can toss the product or exchange it at the store where it was purchased.

• Alternative option: If you buy nuts and other snacks in bulk, try out Ina Garten’s pantry organizing hacks.

Recalled: Hy-Vee and Schnucks Cream Cheese ⛔

Hy-Vee and Schnucks are recalling select containers of cream cheese over a risk of salmonella contamination. Hy-Vee is recalling its plain cream cheese and a cookies and cream snack mix, while Shnucks is recalling its whip cream spread, strawberry spread and cream cheese spread. No illnesses have been reported.

• Where were they sold? Hy-Vee and Schnucks grocery stores

• What to do: Customers should throw out the affected products or return them to their local store for a full refund.

Recalled: Igloo 12-Ounce Youth Sipper Bottle ⛔

Igloo is recalling 31,500 12-ounce Youth Sipper Bottles due to a potential choking hazard. The silicone cover on the sipper can detach while in use. The bottles were sold in multiple colors: a pink top with a purple body, a purple top with a pink body, a blue top with a green body and a green top with a blue body. No injuries have been reported.

Recalled: Skims Children’s Pajamas Sets ⛔

Kim Kardashian’s Skims is recalling 1,200 fleece children’s pajama sets because they fail to meet flammability regulations for children’s sleepwear. The button-up pajamas were sold in sizes 2T-10.

• Where were they sold? Skims’ website and Skims store in Texas from November 2023 through January 2024

• What to do: Customers should contact Skims for a refund and provide proof of the product’s destruction.

• Alternative option: Kim Kardashian reportedly loves this other children’s pajamas brand too.

Recalled: Bausch + Lomb Project Watson Eyelid Wipes for Dogs ⛔

Bausch + Lomb is recalling its Project Watson Eyelid Wipes for Dogs because bacteria and fungi can grow in the container after it’s opened. This poses an infection risk for people with weakened immune systems, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. There have been seven reports of substances developing in the containers, but no reports of illnesses.

• Where were they sold? PetSmart, Walmart, Chewy, Amazon and other stores nationwide from February 2023 through March 2024

• What to do: Stop using the wipes and request a full refund by submitting a picture of the product via this online form.

• Alternative option: You’re cleaning your dog’s eyes, but are you brushing their teeth? Vets say you should brush them more often than you think.
