Update: Just so you know, the character creator is out now on PS5. You can find it through the Dragon’s Dogma 2 page on the PS Store. It’s 4.4GB in size.
Original Story: Capcom is releasing the character creator from Dragon’s Dogma 2 as a free download on PS5 — and it’s out today. You’ll be able to sculpt up to five Arisen (your main character) and five main pawns (your constant companion throughout the adventure). Naturally, you can transfer these creations over to the full game when it launches on the 22nd March.
If you’re the type to spend hours making your perfect protagonist, then you might want to get ahead of schedule and give this character creator a try. It’s also worth mentioning that you don’t have to play as a human in Dragon’s Dogma 2. There’s a new race, known as the beastren — basically big cat people — who you can embody as well.
Unfortunately, there’s still no word on a proper demo for Dragon’s Dogma 2. Such a thing has been rumoured for a while, but we’re starting to think that the supposed leaks were actually just pointing towards this character creator.
At the time of writing, the creator isn’t available to download yet on PS5 — but we’ll update this article as soon as it’s up.
