Forgetting someone? Theresa May posts pic of former PMs — but Liz Truss is cropped out – POLITICO

Former U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May shared a photo on social media of a gathering of the current and former British PMs on Remembrance Sunday — with one notable absence.

Liz Truss, who also attended the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph war memorial in London, appeared to have been cropped out from the photo posted by May on social media.

The photo posted by May featured current Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his predecessors Boris Johnson, David Cameron, Gordon Brown, Tony Blair and John Major, as well as May herself. In photos posted by others, Truss, whose famously brief premiership lasted just 49 days, can be seen standing next to Johnson.

“Each year on Remembrance Sunday, we assemble at the Cenotaph to honour the sacrifice of the fallen and pay tribute to the servicemen & women we place in harm’s way,” May wrote. “Today — as every day — we will remember them. #LestWeForget.”

It is tradition for all current and former prime ministers to pay their respects at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday each year. After years of political turmoil in Westminster, the club of living ex-leaders has swollen to seven, the most in modern history.
