Why do I need this?

As I mentioned before, metal mixing bowls are my go-tos, and this stainless steel set is shatterproof, as well as dent- and rust-resistant to endure many a baking project. I find that plastic bowls are too lightweight and slide around with even the lightest whisking, while you’d better hope your glass bowl doesn’t veer too close to the edge of your workspace. Metal is the perfect go-between: sturdy enough to stay relatively stable and not at all fragile.
