Kate Middleton Rewears Pink Sequin Jenny Packham Gown at Buckingham Palace Diplomatic Reception, Photos

Kate Middleton was a vision at a Buckingham Palace reception for members of the Diplomatic Corps this evening.

For the lavish occasion, the Princess of Wales looked stunning in a pink sequin Jenny Packham gown with the Lover’s Knot Tiara over her signature loose waves. This is the 11th time she donned the sparkling headpiece (she first was seen with it back in 2015), and overall 16th time wearing a tiara since marrying Prince William in 2011.

The Lover’s Knot was a famously one of Princess Diana’s favorite tiaras. It was created for Queen Mary in the mid 1910s by the House of Garrard from pearls and diamonds already owned by her family.

To finish her look, Kate paired the dazzling ensemble with what appear to be Queen Elizabeth’s Greville Chandelier Earrings, and wore the Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order star and sash across her dress.

Kate’s tiara moment is the second for her in less than a month. In late November, the Princess of Wales turned to the the royal archives, and wore the Strathmore Rose tiara at a state banquet at Buckingham Palace. It was the first time Kate had ever worn that tiara, and the first time it had been donned in public in nearly a century. The headpiece originally belonged to the Queen Mother and was given to her by her parents in 1923 prior to marrying the Duke of York and future King George VI.

Her look from tonight happens to also be a repeat from earlier this year. In June, Kate attended the wedding celebration of Hussein, Crown Prince of Jordan and Rajwa Al Saif wearing the exact same ensemble.

Tonight’s reception celebrates one of the largest Diplomatic Corps in the world and will see the senior royals meet representatives of countries accredited to the Court of St. James. It is also the first Diplomatic reception since King Charles and Queen Camilla were officially coronated earlier this year.

Earlier today, Kate was out and about for a new day surgery unit at Evelina London children’s hospital in Westminster, London. For that outing, the Princess of Wales opted for a blue pant suit by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen with matching stiletto heels.
