Kenny Chesney’s Sun Goes Down 2024 Tour is off to an incredible start! The superstar played to 60,529 fans at Tampa, Florida’s Raymond James Stadium over the weekend, delivering a two-hour, hit-packed set list and setting a new ticket record along the way.

Fans packed into the parking lots hours in advance, getting the party started with epic tailgate sessions.

They poured inside the stadium to catch sets from Uncle Kracker, Megan Moroney, and Zac Brown Band before the “King of Summer” made his entrance.

“American Kids,” “The Good Stuff,” “Somewhere With You,” “Beer In Mexico,” “Keg In The Closet” “Never Wanted Nothing More,” and “‘Til It’s Gone” were among the songs Chesney performed in front of the sold-out stadium crowd.

All of the time in rehearsals led to this very moment, but nothing could have prepared the East Tennessee native for the energy he felt when taking the stage.

“You think about it, you anticipate, you wait – and no matter how many times you’ve done this, there is nothing like the way that crowd hits you. They came to sing, to cheer, and just love the night, and they sure did,” Chesney shared after the show.

“Nobody sings like No Shoes Nation,” he added. “When I hear those voices coming back at us, how much they mean these songs, I feel like I’m home, and home is a really good place to be.”

No small operation, the Sun Goes Down Tour will travel 29,467 miles (per vehicle) this year. The tour has 19 trucks in tow, carrying 8,300 folding chairs and a massive, 62-yard-wide stage. With 127 touring staff and a team of 85 non-traveling support people, the tour is larger than life and proving to be one of this summer’s hottest tickets.

The Sun Goes Down Tour will roll into Charlotte, North Carolina’s Bank of America Stadium this weekend and continue on with stops at stadiums, and a few amphitheaters sprinkled in, through August 25.
