Kylian Mbappe told his Paris Saint-Germain team-mates on Friday that he has decided to leave the club this summer.
Mbappe, 25, informed the club on Thursday of his decision to leave at the end of his contract in June.
During the speech, the France international did not, at that stage, reveal to his team-mates which club he is planning to join once he leaves the Parc des Princes.
Mbappe did inform several of his close friends in the PSG dressing room last summer of his intention to join Real Madrid, although this was met with doubt due to the striker’s previous indications of joining the Spanish club only to remain in France.

Kylian Mbappe to leave PSG at end of season
Mbappe joined PSG from Monaco, initially on a loan deal, in 2017 and has cemented his status as one of the world’s best players during his time at the club.
The striker has scored 243 goals in 290 appearances for PSG, winning 13 trophies at the club including five Ligue 1 titles — and helped them reached the Champions League final in 2020, when they lost to Bayern Munich.
On Thursday, The Athletic reported that Napoli striker Victor Osimhen features prominently on PSG’s transfer shortlist to help replace Mbappe this summer.
The Athletic has also detailed how Barcelona midfielder Gavi, 19, is been a long-term target for the French capital club and they will reactivate their interest in the Spain international this summer.
