CONCORD, NH — Loudon Road has been shut down between Centre and North Main streets to Hazen Drive for a multi-vehicle accident with several injuries on Friday.
Limited information is available a post time. But Concord police and firefighters were sent to the area of Loudon Road and Fort Eddy Road for a report of a crash involving six vehicles around 11 a.m. Multiple ambulances were sent to the area and police have been there for the past 90 minutes attempting to guide traffic away from the scene.
Around 12:30 p.m., an officer in the field said the road would be closed for “several hours.”

According to a witness, a mid-sized SUV was driving westbound at between 60 and 100 mph and slammed into a pickup truck. The pickup truck’s bed was completely demolished, they said. The truck then crashed into other vehicles. One of the vehicles had a Maine registration.
According to an officer in the field, five people were taken to Concord Hospital. Three others were injured but not transported.
Police initially closed the immediate area and then broadened the closures to Hazen Drive and Main Street. Several officers and parking employees are blocking the area. Officers in the field were frustrated by commuters ignoring their commands not to drive on the closed roads.
Between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., crashes were also reported on Route 4 and I-393.
