GeForce RTX 40 SUPER pricing rumors
The new RTX 4080 SUPER reportedly costs less than RTX 4080 at launch.
Reliable source MEGAsizeGPU has disclosed the expected pricing details for the upcoming GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series. Given the consistent accuracy of this leaker’s information in the past, it can be considered trustworthy. It’s worth noting that the revealed pricing also aligns with the data shared by Moore’s Law is Dead.
As per MEGAsizeGPU’s post, the RTX 4080 SUPER is expected to be priced at $999, marking a $200 reduction compared to the RTX 4080 non-SUPER when it was initially launched over a year ago. This particular SKU exhibits the most significant price adjustment within the SUPER series, despite displaying comparatively modest improvements in specs.

Nvidia’s strategy is that they will never price-cut their products officially. They will launch new products with the same performance at lower prices instead.— MEGAsizeGPU (@Zed__Wang) January 6, 2024
Meanwhile, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is rumored to be priced at $799, mirroring the exact MSRP of the non-SUPER card at its launch precisely one year ago. Additionally, the RTX 4070 SUPER is slated to take the place of the non-SUPER version at a $599 price point, strongly suggesting an impending price reduction for the latter.
If the previous speculations hold true, both the RTX 4080S and 4070TiS are expected to replace existing SKUs, while the RTX 4070S is anticipated to coexist with the current model in the market. NVIDIA has no intention to officially price cut existing models, at least officially, but to release new graphics cards with the same performance but at a lower price, claims the leaker.
Whether the new information is correct, we should learn soon enough, as NVIDIA is to officially announce RTX 40 SUPER series in 2 days and the first SKU is set to launch on January 17.
