ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) – Some clouds but dry on Wednesday. More sunshine tomorrow as highs climb upper 80s low 90s. Enjoy the warm sunshine before rapid changes bring clouds and rain chances back early Friday. Not a washout but look for scattered showers through the afternoon and evening. Overnight periods of heavy rain become likely for a very wet Saturday.
Rain and thunderstorms become widespread mid-morning through the afternoon and evening. Expect 2-3″ to fall on saturated soils therefore flash flooding will be a threat. Most of SGA is outlined in a Marginal to Slight Risk for heavy rain with potentially some flooding concerns. For now the threat for severe storms is low for SGA however that could change in the coming days. So stay alert into the weekend.
A few showers early Sunday then drying out. Highs on Saturday cooler mid 70s then clearing and warming into the upper 80s on Sunday. Next week warmer upper 80s low 90s and dry through midweek.
