A few weeks ago, Samsung released the stable Android 14 update to the Galaxy S23 series in Europe and some Asian countries. Now, the company has finally released the stable Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update to the Galaxy S23 in the US. Currently, the update is available for the carrier-locked models of those devices in the country.
Galaxy S23 finally gets stable Android 14 update in the US
The stable Android 14 (One UI 6.0) update for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra is available in the US for carrier-locked units. The update comes with firmware version S91xUSQUBWK4 and also includes the November 2023 security patch. The download size of this update is around 3.3GB, so make sure you download it on a Wi-Fi network so as not to give up your cellular data. Right now, the update is live on T-Mobile’s network, and we expect other carriers to release the update very soon.
If you have a Galaxy S23 series phone and you live in the US, you can now check for the major new update by opening the Settings app, navigating to Software update, and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database once it is available for a manual firmware flashing process.
One UI 6.0 features and design changes
One UI 6.0 is based on Android 14, and it brings dozens of amazing new features and design changes. It introduces a brand-new Quick Panel design, a slightly revamped notifications design, a new media player widget with waveform animations, and improved widgets. There are two new widgets: Custom Camera and Weather Insights. Most of the stock apps have also been improved. The Camera app has a simple new design, while the Gallery app has received new image editing features and controls.
