‘Sister Wives’ star Garrison Brown ‘wonderful’ but depressed, having relationship issues before tragic death, roommate says

One of “Sister Wives” star Garrison Brown’s three roommates has broken their silence on the reality star’s apparent suicide this week.

“All I have to say is that he was a wonderful person with nothing but positivity to give to others,” Addison Miele, who lives in the late 25-year-old’s apartment in Flagstaff, Arizona, told Us Weekly on Thursday. “He helped me greatly when I needed a place to stay. He was a good friend and a good landlord.”

Miele added of polygamists Kody and Janelle Brown’s son, “He is a good person and someone I look up to.”

According to an incident report obtained by The Post, Miele told police that he had spoken to Brown on Tuesday at 3 p.m., in their kitchen. Brown was allegedly intoxicated and asked him for a lighter. Miele gave him one, but that was the end of their conversation.

Later that night is when Brown is believed to have shot himself dead. Miele claimed he did not hear a gunshot, which surprised him because he claimed to be a light sleeper.

Miele also told officers that he and Brown were close and recently had a conversation about Brown being depressed, although he never said anything that Miele thought to be a red flag.

He claimed Brown was an “alcoholic and drank every night,” the report states, and that Miele would often take him to get food when he was too intoxicated to drive. Miele said Brown was having problems with his ex-girlfriend and was not a happy person.

It was previously reported that Janelle Brown sent one of her other sons, Gabe, to go check on Garrison after she caught wind that he had sent a concerning text to a group of people the Brown family works with, presumably on their TLC reality show.

“I want to hate you for sharing the good times. But I can’t. I miss these days,” he wrote, per the report.

Gabe arrived at Garrison’s apartment on Wednesday morning, found his older brother dead, and then called police. His roommates reportedly hadn’t checked on Garrison before Gabe arrived.

Kody and Janelle released a joint statement Wednesday on Garrison’s death, writing on Instagram, “Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown.”

They added, “He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.”
