Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection Coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC

Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series, and PC via Steam on March 14 as a bundle of the two original games with new maps, characters, and more.

Announced in the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase on February 21 and a subsequent trailer from publisher Aspyr, the new characters will include Kit Fisto and Asajj Ventress while Jabba’s Palace joins as one of the new maps.

“It’s time to relive intense battles from the Star Wars galaxy in the Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection,” the announcement reads.

“Jump into thrilling firefights across massive battlefields on the ground, in the air, and in space as the Empire, Rebellion, Republic, and the Separatist Alliance.

“Choose an array of unique classes, pilot a multitude of vehicles, and play as iconic heroes and villains from multiple eras of the saga in solo, local, and online play.”

The original Battlefront is only getting the Jabba’s Palace map but Battlefront 2 will receive Bespin: Cloud City, Rhen Var: Harbor, Rhen Bar: Citadel, and Yavin 4: Arena.

The Hero Assault mode has also been updated, letting players take on the roles of Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and more on maps such as Death Star and Naboo. Hero Assault can be played on all ground maps for the first time with the Classic Collection too.
