Taylor Swift has written Travis Kelce love songs that might not get shared

The Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift romance might’ve already been documented in songs written by Swift, but that doesn’t mean they’ll ever get released.

Those songs, according to Us Weekly, capture their “love story and falling in love with him,” a development that emerged as one of the NFL’s most popular storylines as the Chiefs won a second consecutive Super Bowl in February.

Instead of becoming Swift’s latest songs on a future album, these “very personal” lyrics — the ones describing a relationship that, given the status of the singer and future Hall of Fame tight end, has been anything but private — might remain unknown.

“She likely won’t share them with anyone,” Us Weekly wrote Friday, citing an anonymous source. “They’re very special. Songs are like poetry to her. Just like most people journal, Taylor writes lyrics. Her relationship with Travis has inspired her.”

Swift and Kelce started dating in summer 2023, and she attended 13 Chiefs games — including their four playoff games in Kansas City, Buffalo, Baltimore and then Super Bowl 2024 in Las Vegas — and watched as Kelce helped spark their third championship in five years.

The trip to Allegiant Stadium, though, featured a chaotic stretch where Swift performed Eras Tour concerts in Tokyo, Japan, and then flew 12 hours to Los Angeles before jetting over to Las Vegas for the final game.

Kelce and Swift celebrated on the field together postgame, in addition to partying together that night, but Chiefs defensive backs coach Dave Merritt revealed in a podcast appearance this week that the singer had started attending Kansas City’s games prior to a Week 3 win against the Bears — when the broadcast aired her in a suite, next to Kelce’s mother, Donna, for the first time.

“When [Swift] started to come around, it was privately,” Merritt said on “The Sports Shop with Reese and K-Mac” podcast. “She was coming into the stadiums without people knowing until the camera put a big spotlight on it.”

Kelce, who collected 984 receiving yards and five touchdowns during the regular season before recording another 32, 355 and three, respectively in the playoffs, traveled to Australia and watched Swift’s Eras Tour performance in Sydney following the Chiefs’ title.
