The Boys Season 4 finally has a release date: June 13, 2024.
The hit Prime Video anti-superhero show based on the comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson returns with three episodes on June 13, followed by a new episode each week ending with a season finale on July 18. That makes for a Season 4 total of eight episodes.
Apparently it’s Homelander’s birthday today, and to celebrate Prime Video also revealed new artwork for the fourth season. Happy birthday, Homelander!
Here’s the official blurb on The Boys Season 4:
“In Season Four, the world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son and his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.”
In December, IGN wondered whether The Boys Season 4 teaser trailer was teasing the death of Homelander. “With Black Noir back on his feet after his altercation with Homelander in Season 3, and Senator Victoria Neuman’s recent acquisition of a Supe-killing virus that started as a project to keep the leader of The Seven in check, it sure seems like there’s a strong chance the star-spangled jerk won’t be making it out of Season 4 alive,” we said. “But, that doesn’t mean we’ll necessarily be losing Antony Starr!” Check out our trailer breakdown, below, for more on our theory. The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Cameron Crovetti. Season Four welcomes Susan Heyward, Valorie Curry, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
