The number one ranked Street Fighter 6 user is now a Lily player and is apparently the only one

Street Fighter 6 is now a good ways into its second ranking season after the initial Master Rate reset, and we’re seeing some interesting things.

Key and point being one Lily player doing what no other has been able to: reach number one.

Although we recently reported BST|Daigo Umehara briefly reaching the top of Legend ranks in SF6, that was short lived with another beast taking the crown.

Another Japanese competitor in HibikiTheBeast has grabbed the number one spot now with 2,261 Master Rate points over Moke’s 2,254 MR using Chun-Li.

What’s even more impressive is Hibiki doing so with Lily and being the only person to do so with her in the entirety of the top 100 players in ranked currently.

This isn’t Hibiki’s first time at the top since the point reset with Javits Arias also pointing out that the Lily user is among those who’ve held number one for the longest amount of time — though there’s no real way to really measure that with our current tools.

In our own character rankings (that you can view below), we ranked Lily as one of the bottom three in all of Street Fighter 6 in terms of bad defense, but that certainly hasn’t stopped Hibiki from succeeding.

One thing we do have to point out, however, is Hibiki has played a whopping 6,312 ranked matches with Lily to reach that point while Moke has only played 5,283 ranked matches to obtain almost the same amount of points.

It’s certainly not free, but Hibiki has continued to push forward and keep taking the top spot back and forth with Moke and IBSG|Kakeru, who has only needed to play 3,375 ranked matches to keep pace with his JP.

We haven’t done so much yet though it seems like it’s time to take a much closer look at Hibiki to see how and where they’re finding so much success with Lily now.

Taking a step back to the wider top 100, Luke is the most represented pick with 17 players followed unsurprisingly by Ken at 13 an JP at 12.

In just the top 20, however, there’s currently 9 different characters represented with 6 JPs and only 2 Kens and 4 Lukes while we even have 2 Rashids up there now between John Takeuchi and Satoru.

The highest A.K.I. sits at 27th from Hikaru with 2,154 MR and is similarly to Hibiki the only poison user in the top 100 right now.

What is nice to see at least is all 20 characters are included in the top 100 though you have to go down to 87th to find Ryu in the hands of Paladin.
