WWE WrestleMania 40 night one’s main event teased multiple future matches for The Rock after making his in-ring return.
After making his in-ring return to WWE at tonight’s WrestleMania 40 Saturday, The Rock seemed to rack up potential future opponents.
Despite the fact that the Bloodline won the match, there was an important moment of dissension that raised eyebrows.
During an intriguing moment in the WrestleMania 40 night one main event, Roman Reigns speared The Rock.
It was by accident – Roman was aiming for Cody and Seth saved Cody so Roman ended up hitting Rock, but still, it means seeds a planted for a potential future match,
Elsewhere in the match, Cody Rhodes and The Rock continued their feuding, seemingly signifying that their exchanges are far from over as well.
The Rock captured the pinfall victory in the match, pinning Cody Rhodes as the Final Boss made good on his promise to beat Rhodes at WrestleMania.
This means that tomorrow night’s WrestleMania 40 night two Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match between Cody and Roman will be ‘Bloodline Rules’, meaning there really aren’t any rules – ‘anything goes’.
Rock being the one to pin Cody potentially opens up a future match between them too – in theory, if Cody wins the title from Roman tomorrow night, Rock has a valid reason to get a title shot.
Of course at this point, it’s unknown exactly when Rock’s next match will be, but if any new info emerges, we’ll let you know.
