These reviewer-loved Cole Haan tennis shoes may be the footwear sleeper hit of spring

Call me old-fashioned, but Facebook is still one of the most used apps on my iPhone. These days, I open the social media app less to see what my friends and family are up to and more to see what the folks in my Facebook groups are talking about. I belong to a few for parents, a few for dog lovers, and of course, a few for fellow shopaholics. Recently, someone asked what comfy, stylish sneakers people were wearing to work and I was surprised to see so many group members give the same recommendation: These Cole Haan GrandPro Tennis Shoes.

It’s not my place to disclose information about the group or the members, but what I will say is that these ladies like to shop. And they know their stuff, too! Among the top reasons many recommended these Cole Haan sneakers? They’re comfortable and lightweight, but they’re not so sneaker-y that they are over-the-top sporty. These classy kicks look like a cross between an athletic shoe and an oxford, which makes them versatile. They’re ideal for a day in the office, sleek enough to wear with a sundress and their go-with-anything profile make them excellent for travel.

Anyone who’s purchased a pair of Cole Haan shoes in the last few years knows the brand has done a lot to ensure all their styles score high marks in the comfort department. These sneakers have the brand’s popular Grand.OS foam cushioning, which provides a soft landing with each step. The top of the shoes is made from leather, while the soles are made from rubber, both of which are designed to be flexible and require no break-in time.

Not surprisingly, my Facebook group isn’t the only Cole Haan GrandPro Tennis Shoes fan club. Over at Nordstrom, the stylish sneakers have 4.5 out 5 stars and more than 600 reviews.

One customer who tested several different brands of shoes commented, “I very seldom write a review on anything, but I would like to recommend these … to people who looking for a walking shoe. I bought Adidas, Ecco and Cole Haan to find out which one is the best for me. Cole Haan is the winner. It is very stylish, lightweight and so comfortable …. Absolutely love [them].”

Another shopper-turned-white-sneaker-convert wrote “These shoes are super lightweight, extremely comfortable and also stylish. A great find for a girl who normally only wears sneakers for exercise.”

Some shoppers who didn’t give the Cole Haan shoes top marks mentioned that they wished they were more supportive.

One reviewer commented, “[These sneakers are] true to size and not sloppy-wide like many shoes can be. My daughter kept hers as they were trendy, were comfortable with the round toe, had soft cushioning, and looked better than athletic shoes. I returned mine as the arch support was not super great for an old foot.”
