American Idol season 22 is bringing back a fan-favorite alumni for a special performance on Billboard No. 1 Hits Night. Throughout its run, American Idol has been known for its themed nights, as well as some of the incredible alumni who have been part of the series in the past. David Archuleta Finds Post-American Idol Success

While it’s been over a decade since David was the runner-up of American Idol season 7, the hype around his career has been one of the most interesting to follow both during and after his season. When American Idol season 7 was airing, David was one of the most popular contestants on the series, with a group of young fans who consistently rallied to keep him alive in the competition. Though David took second place to American Idol season 7 winner David Cook, he was able to garner a major following with his performances and sweet personality on the show.
