Mandy Moore looked overjoyed as she rang in her son Ozzie’s first birthday with her husband Taylor Goldsmith over the weekend.
As the couple marked the special occasion, surrounded by loved ones and their two-year-old Augustus, the This Is Us star, 39, beamed with happiness as her youngest sat in front of a slice of vanilla cake while wearing a gold crown with his age on it.
‘Turns out 1 is NOT the loneliest number when you have family like this to help you celebrate your birthday,’ she captioned a slideshow of party pictures.
The birthday boy appeared to be having a blast at the Curious George-themed bash at their home, which was decked out with blue and orange balloons.
Ozzie’s cake featured a large ‘1’ on the top next to a brown monkey, made of fondant.
Moore and Goldsmith’s eldest looked particularly eager to dig into the dessert as he inched closer and closer to the cake while his dad cut his brother the first slice.
The Golden Globe winner rocked a red and black paisley dress to the party and her glossy brown tresses in loose waves.
On Friday, she shared a number of adorable shots of her baby boy with a lengthy caption about her disbelief that he is already one.
‘Our sweet Ozzie is 1. How?!! I honestly can’t remember a moment before this beautiful beaming ball of pure love was in our lives,’ she admitted.
The performer continued: ‘The days are long but the years are short is an adage that is proving SO relevant and real, as time oscillates between some strange hyper speed and slow motion.’
She went on to muse that her little one is the ‘happiest, smiliest guy who NEVER complains except to let’ her ‘know if his food isn’t available fast enough.’
‘I’m elated for all of the adventures and milestones ahead,’ she concluded. ‘We love you to the moon, Oz. Squeezing these babies extra tight these days.’
Moore announced the arrival of her second child, son Oscar ‘Ozzie’ Bennett Goldsmith on October 21, 2022.
The actress shared a series of black and white images of her with her newborn, as well as with husband Taylor.
She captioned the precious images with: ‘Ozzie is here! Oscar Bennett Goldsmith arrived a little late but with much aplomb (and an easier/speedier delivery than his big brother, much to the delight of his parents).’
Adding: ‘Every adage is true: our hearts have doubled in size and the immediacy of the love is astounding. He is beyond words and we are so grateful for our family of four!’ adding four hearts.
Mandy announced her second pregnancy in June 2022 with a snap of son Gus rocking a shirt that said ‘Big Brother.’
She wrote in the Instagram post announcing the news after the series finale of her show This Is Us: ‘One incredibly seminal chapter of my life just ended and the next one, as a mother of two, is about to start… and are we ever so grateful and excited.
Adding: ‘Baby Boy Goldsmith #2 coming this fall! Tour is gonna be slightly different than I expected but I can’t wait and Gus is gonna be the BEST big brother!! Xo.’
Mandy and Taylor, a musician, started dating in 2015, and announced their engagement in September 2017.
The couple married in 2018 and will celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary this November.
They welcomed their first child, August aka Gus, on February 20, 2021.
