  • The woman screamed she was being kidnapped and wrestled with stewardesses
  • Another passenger joined the fray, claiming that the woman had been possessed
  • The commotion was captured in a video posted to the social media site Reddit

A Frontier Airlines passenger was filmed having a huge meltdown on a flight – while a preacher nearby implored others to pray, before bursting into song.

The chaos was captured in a video uploaded to the social media site Reddit.

It starts after the drama had erupted onboard Flight 1161 on November 16, with a woman sobbing and swearing at airline employees as they pull her down the aisle.

‘Stop pulling on my arm!’ she barks as she emits a blood-curdling scream.

A passenger in a gray beanie walks into frame and follows the employees as they lead the screaming woman towards the front of the plane.

She raises a hand and begins to speak to the woman as she thrashes and throws her head back. Miraculously, the woman stops panicking and looks at her.

The video then cuts to an apparent confrontation between a man in a white baseball cap and a member of staff in a collared shirt.

Other passengers are shouting. Some have their phones raised, capturing the chaos as it unfolds in front of them.

‘Make him get off too! Make him get off too!’ another passenger shouts.

Seeing that they are distracted, the woman begins to climb over the seats, hoisting her legs over and falling sideways.

Other passengers rise and scramble into the aisle to get away as the woman clambers forward. She is eventually pulled back into the aisle before collapsing into a seat.

As a female voice in the back of the plane begins to shout, the camera swings, revealing a woman in a pair of sunglasses.

‘Straight Texas style! Imma beat yo a**!’ she yells.

The woman in the beanie began to pace up and down the aisle, claiming that the passenger was ‘possessed’

The first woman resumes panicking, screaming: ‘Stop blocking me! I’ve been f***ing kidnapped!’ before swinging a punch at one of the employees.

The voice of a flight attendant comes over the speaker system.

‘Ladies and gentlemen, I need everyone to please take your seats,’ she says forcefully.

‘Please. Only people that should be up are people that are working with the passenger.’ By now, the woman has made it to the seats on the opposite side of the plane.

‘Stop laughing at me! Stop!’ she shrieks before throwing her arms up and proclaiming: ‘Hands in the air!’

She braces her hands on the luggage compartments and continues to howl, demanding the staff unhand her.

The woman in the gray beanie begins to pace up and down the aisle, proclaiming that the breakdown is evidence of a ‘real devil that wants to kill each and every one of y’all including your family members.’

She continues to shout, wagging her finger: ‘That’s not her! She’s possessed! She needs help!

‘And I’m sorry to sound like that, but I’ll tell you right now, Jesus Christ is the way to truth in the life and there’s nobody that’s gonna come to the God, the Father, without Jesus Christ.’

It is unclear if this woman knows the passenger having the meltdown.

Meanwhile, another employee in a brown sweater appears to be consoling the first woman, rubbing her shoulders as they stand at the front of the plane.

‘Who doesn’t have a relationship with Jesus Christ?’ the woman in the beanie demands as people mutter. ‘If y’all don’t have a relationship with Jesus Christ, I suggest you find one.’

‘We’re trying to go,’ one passenger says, sounding exasperated.

Eventually, a police officer arrived on board. He stepped aside, allowing the woman to return to her seat

The video cuts once more. The woman in the beanie now stands at the front of the plane.

She begins to sing gospel music as flight attendants try to subdue the panic-stricken passenger, who shouts: ‘You’re fighting me! Stop fighting me!’ and collapses to the floor.

The employee in the brown sweater embraces her and continues to rub her back and rock her like a baby.

The woman in the sunglasses has stood up again.

‘Ain’t nobody playing with you girl! You crazy? Come on, I’ll be crazy right along with you,’ she yells.

Police arrive on board. An officer stands in the aisle talking to members of staff.

‘We need to get her off,’ one passenger remarks, chuckling.

But the officer steps aside, allowing the woman – who is flushed and wiping tears from her eyes – to walk back to her seat.

The flight left Houston at 1.39pm and was supposed to land in Denver, but was ultimately diverted to Dallas, flight records show.

Speaking exclusively to Dailymail.com, a woman whose son was on the flight explained: ‘They had to stop in Dallas to let the crazy lady off, the preacher woman off and the guy in the white baseball hat off.’

She added that ‘the crazy lady was punching and assaulting the flight attendant who was blocking her more than once.’

Frontier Airlines was not immediately available for comment.

The scene bore a striking resemblance to the viral video of marketing executive Tiffany Gomas, who had a similar breakdown onboard an American Airlines flight in July.

Gomas barreled to the front of the plane and told fellow passengers she was disembarking because the aircraft wasn’t safe, before accusing a fellow passenger of being ‘not real.’
